Guest Lecture with Professor Alberto Pirni on Intergenerational Justice

Alberto Eugenio gave a riveting lecture on the subject of Intergenerational Justice in the context of climate change. He started by introducing us to the various existing theories of justice to broaden our perspective on the subject. He further got us acquainted with the different approaches to intergenerational justice, methods of analysis and methodologies for application. The class consisted of an eclectic mix of international and Russian students of the Public Policy department which allowed a healthy space for ideation as various opinions were juxtaposed, discussed and dissected. The lecture opened us to the nuances in the understanding of intergenerational justice, thanks to Professor Pirni’s ability to create an engaging and pro-active classroom environment. We hope to have many such lectures with eminent Professors who specialize in various fields, to broaden our horizon in the Policy field and also increased participation of students from various research backgrounds.
