The school is called “Russian historic memory: in search of identity” will be held on 22-28 of September in ancient heartland of Russia - Rostov the Great.Over the past 15 years, the Department of Public Policy has held a range of summer schools, previously called “Baltic Practice” which focused on an exploration of the relationship between Russia and European Union. But from this year we are changing our focus and will be exploring the complex issue of Russian identity, which has renewed importance as the Russian government has increasingly celebrated key events of Russian history.
International Workshop ‘Policy Advice in Comparative Perspective: Shaping Political Discourse and Policy Change in Post-Communist Countries and the Global South’
12-13 October 2017 in campus on Mysnitskaya, 20 (Higher Schol of Economics, Moscow) will be conducted 2nd international workshop on policy advice.
The Higher School of Economics, Moscow on the 26th of April 2017 was host to Professor Badrul Alam from Cornell University, Ms Barbara Rogers from MPC Social Services, Mr Kehinde Banwo from Helps Services Nigerians in Russia. The round table discuss was centred on the violation of human rights with a major focus on young African ladies being sold into sex slavery under the pretence that they were brought to Russia for the purpose of education.

From 14th February 2017 till 17th February 2017, the students of the Public Policy Department and the faculty members had the privilege to host the Academic Director of IUC Torino, Prof Giuseppe Mastruzzo as the guest speaker of the program. His visit to HSE is a part of the Teaching Excellence project where the leading International academic luminaries are invited for a short teaching visit to give lecture both to the students’ community and also to the teachers at large. Previously, Giuseppe Mastruzzo has taught at the universities of Kent and East London in England, Delta State in Nigeria, and at the Italian National School for Public Administration, among other institutions
The week long International Winter School on Human Rights got organized in the Forli Campus of University of Bologna from 9th -13th of January 2017. A unique yearly project jointly initiated by Prof. Nina Yurievna Belyaeva, from the Higher school of Economics along with her illustrious partner from the University of Bologna ( Italy most notably Prof Marco Balboni and Prof Carmello Danisi ) and International Institute of Human Rights ( Rene Cassin Foundation, Strasbourg).
Indian Model United Nations like any other Model United Nations is a conference format platform that aims to initiate the procedures of the United Nations in which students participate as delegates in various UN committees. Benjamin Odame - the student of program "Political Analysis and Public Policy" shares his experience of participating this conference.
According to this agreement, each party sends up to 6 students during an academic year for semester-long study from HSE master’s programmes: ‘International Business’, ‘Strategic Corporate Finance’, and ‘Political Analysis and Public Policy’, and from USL master’s programmes: Management, Corporate Communication, Marketing, Finance, Banking and Finance, and Economic Policy for participation in the exchange programme.
