My name is Oluwafunto, I am an award winning UNSDG Advocate, a YALI Fellow, UNESCO/APCIEU certified Global Citizen, and a fellow of the African Presidential Leadership Program, Cairo under the administration of Egypt president, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-sis. I worked as a media Analyst at the United Nations Information Centre, Lagos and a research assistant at University of Warwick.
My name is Florence and i’m from Nigeria. My hobbies includes singing, baking and exploring new places. I strongly believe education isn't all about the “books” being able to balance our studies with extracurricular activities that helps builds our networks should be included in our curriculum.
My name is Rebeca and I was born in the highest city in Mexico (2 660 meters above sea) and moved to the capital 6 years ago. I am 24 years old, I have a BA in International Relations. I have worked in international organizations, like the UNFPA and USAID, as well as civil society, advocacy and HR. I like taking long walks, playing with my cats and cooking.
My name’s Tim, and I originate from a small Siberian town of Nadym. I enjoy traveling, watching Netflix, and meeting new people. I did my International Relations degree at Saint Petersburg State University, and was also lucky enough to study in the U.S. for a whole year! Politics is what defines our everyday life, and it’s important to participate in it! Languages are my passion (and I can even speak a few… kinda), and so is urban development and LGBTQIA+ issue.
My name is Valentina and I am from Russia, Moscow, but I have Italian roots:) I have just finished double degree program of HSE and LSE in International relations. I am very active person and from the beginning of this year I am trying to help everyone who needs me)) I enjoy eating and watching movies) also like to do different sport activities and watch football and tennis. I have a cute dog and lovely cat.
My name is Nikita, I’m 21. I live in Moscow. I’m passionate about documentaries, political news, politics as a whole, Netflix, minority rights and foreign languages. I am fluent in English and French. Sport is an essential part of my life. I play water polo and go to the gym. I graduated from Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in international relations. I’ve been to the USA twice and I’ve also worked as a bartender in the south of France.
My name is Tanya, I am 21. I like reading (currently “Little life”), travelling and watching “Friends”. Originally I am from Republic of Buryatia, Siberia:) I graduated this year from Russian State Social University in Moscow with a BA in Sociology. During my 3rd year, I did a semester abroad in VIlnius under the Erasmus programme and it was absolutely amazing (despite this godforsaken pandemic). I am a volunteer at a Russian human rights media project.
My name is Dayan, I am 22 years old, and I am from the United States. I grew up in a small town of 7,000 people, before moving to a big city of 100,000 to earn degrees in Russian and Political Science at the University of Missouri. Beyond academics, politics carries over a lot into my personal life. I read the news constantly, watch political shows (favorites - Scandal, House of Cards, and Parks and Rec), and stay active in party politics back home. I also enjoy classic literature, hiking, and photography. My goal would be to create a sense of community for our program.
My name is Marcelo, I am 26 years old. I am from Paraguay, called “the hearth of South America” because of its location. I graduated from National University of Asuncion in Paraguay in 2018 receiving the title as a Lawyer and I work in a Penal Court. I like to talk with others and meeting new people from all around the world. I consider myself a very open person. In my free time I play soccer and computer games :D I have experience being the only representative on my courses in Paraguay of about 300 students for 4 years and 1 year in the students’ council.
My name is Alexandr Burdian (21 y.o.), but please call me Sasha :) Consider myself to be a citizen of the world (originated in the Republic of Moldova). I received my BA in International Relations and European Studies in Romania and Slovenia (Erasmus+ program). Passionate about human rights, international systems/institutions, EU politics, feminism/gender/LGBT+ studies, democratic erosions etc. My principles: honesty, transparency, open-mindness, inclusion, respect, solidarity, #nohatejustlove (no racism, no LGBTQ+ phobia etc.).
