Project activity of the students

Every year, on 10th of December, Human Rights day is celebrated across the globe. Students of Public Policy Department at HSE usually organize a series of events to promote human rights in the university, to discuss and share opinions. This year, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, “Human Rights Week” is postponed and will be taking place online, but students still found a way to work in the field through their project activity, which is a new mandatory addition to the study plan at HSE.

Student expedition to Vladimir

From the 24th to the 30th of October 2019, a group of fifteen students and three professors from the National Research University Higher School of Economics, had the opportunity to participate in an ethnological expedition to Vladimir. The reason that led the group of students to this city was the local clash of ideals – if not mentalities - related with its central museum. During six days, with the support of the members of Vladimir’s independent journal, Dovod (“Argument”), the group of students, under supervision of their professors, was responsible to interact with the local population, interviewing entities connected with the museum, social communication, and the regional educational institutions.

Students of Public Policy Department of School of Political Science HSE actively taking part in the preparations to the first ‘Youth forum Сelac-russia’. CELAC (Latin American and Caribbean Community) is an instrument to implement and strengthen regional participation in multilateral negotiation processes, extra-regional cooperation, and political dialogue towards the different challenges of the current economic, social and political system aiming at an equitable development (CELAC,2011)

This small book is a result of the joint Project “Policy Impact of Civil Society in BRICS countries” by Public Policy Department of National Research University Higher School of Economics and “Interlegal” International Foundation, supported by International Organization OXFAM as a part of the EU funded academic research, namely “Empowering CSO Networks in an unequal Multi-polar world”.
