On May 15 at 13:00, the online 'Data Analytics and Social Statistics' Master’s programme (DASS) will hold an open house about it's "Applied Statistics and Data Science" study track.

The basis of modern data analysis is applied statistics. Applied statistics allows the application of advanced methods of mathematical statistics and the processing of statistical data to analyze various areas of society through computer-aided data processing. The technical knowledge and skills that enhance this track provide Data Science, as a field that brings together sections of computer science related to data: collecting, processing, analyzing, and making effective decisions. A data analyst must understand trends in artificial intelligence (including Gen AI), patterns and strategies of data analytics, and not only be able to program, but also have a deep understanding of the product being created, and be well-versed in statistics.
The Applied Statistics and Data Science track will suit students who want to develop in data analytics, a relevant and in-demand field in any subject area. The basic education can be any: the track will be of interest to students with both social and hard science backgrounds.
