From Tilburg with love

Double degree student Tanya Zein shares her first impressions on studying at Tilburg University

It has been officially a month here at Tilburg University, and I can say that I am truly in a European experience! I booked a room with the Student Housing Holland ( and let me be honest, they run out super fast). I got picked up at the airport and driven to my room smoothly. University classes started a week after my arrival, and let me tell you, we started having quizzes from day 02. My program is amazing, a lot of projects, readings, and interactive assignments.

 I am in love with the Dutch culture, the people, and everything around me. We travel to the university by bicycle, and I live 13 minutes away from the university. Spending my time mostly studying in the beautiful parks and university gardens, I get to release the stress using the university gym, fitness, and dance classes through a yearly membership for 138 euros. I got to meet a lot of international interesting people, but also I got to meet some of my classmates from the double degree diploma. It feels amazing to finally meet in person. I can’t wait to travel around the Netherlands with my student discounts, but also all of Europe, and eat more Stroopwafels, bitterballen and some more dutch food.
