Event ended

The “Dynamics of Science Diplomacy: Bridging Pragmatism and Idealism” seminar series concludes this academic year with its fourth session. Eminent practitioners, young researchers, and students will gather once more to explore how science diplomacy shapes international relations, global governance, and cross-border knowledge flows, connecting historical legacies of knowledge exchange with contemporary challenges in international STI cooperation.

The final seminar will focus on international organisations, bilateral cooperation, and changing governance arrangements, highlighting lessons for emerging science diplomats and early-career scholars working at the intersection of policy and research.

The keynote speaker of the final seminar will be Dr. XING Jijun, Chairman of the International Cooperation and S&T Diplomacy Sub-commission of the Chinese Association of Science of Science and S&T Policy Research, who will share his extensive experience in international S&T cooperation, science diplomacy, and global governance from the perspective of Chinese and multilateral practice.

The seminar series aims to build an active international community of early-career researchers in science diplomacy. It brings together established experts and students working on research papers, theses, and dissertations. Participants receive structured feedback and join interdisciplinary discussions on current debates and methods in the field.
