Test Your Knowledge in Governance of Science and Technology with Innovators' Club


The wide-spread idea to implement evidence-based innovation policy was taken up by the students of the Master’s programme “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation”. Having invited professors and their colleagues to discuss the most acute issues in governance of science and technology, students organized debates at the Innovators’ club to test their knowledge acquired during their studying at HSE.

Representatives of key Russian employers joined the Academic Council of English-taught Master’s programme “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation”

On 21 March, 2016, five new members joined the Council:  Igor Agamirzyan, CEO of Russian Venture Company, Artem Shadrin, Director of the Department of Social Development and Innovations, Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Sergey Salikhov, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation,Maxim Nedzvetskiy, Head of Directorate, public joint-stock company "Gazprom", and Leonid Sorkin, General Director and Vice-President of Honeywell in Russia.

Business Partnership Networks


On November 24, 2015, Prof. Nicholas Vonortas from the George Washington University (USA) and HSE ISSEK gave the lecture on an important phenomenon in modern business world — business partnership networks — to the second year master’s students of “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation” programme. He considered many issues, such as short history, advantages, disadvantages of business partnerships, and knowledge hubs, etc.

The evolution of STI policy in South Korea


On November 17, 2015, Professor Jeong-Dong Lee (Seoul National University, Republic of Korea), gave a lecture to the 2nd year students of the Master’s Programme “Governance of Science, Technology and Innovation” about the evolution of industry, technology and innovation policies and their impact on the development of Korea’s economy.
