Who is this Programme Intended For?
You are eligible to apply if you have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as general Design, Architecture, Urban Planning, Engineering, Economics, Data Analysis or Sociology. However, the academic backgrounds of the students in our Master's programme can vary a lot. Students with Bachelor's degrees in differentsubject area are also welcome to apply.
How to apply for the ‘Prototyping Future Cities’ Master’s programme
Step 1. Prepare Your Application (Portfolio)
– copy/scan of your valid passport;
– certified copy of your Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree;
– certified copy of your transcript /list of grades;
– two letters of recommendation;
– resume / curriculum vitae;
– motivation letter.
All documents should be prepared in English.

Step 3. Submit Your Application Online at the HSE Portal
To apply for the international Master’s programme 'Prototyping Future Cities' of HSE Graduate School of Urbanism, please fill out and submit the online application form.
For the online application,all documents must be submitted in English as PDF files and include your last name in the filename (e.g., Smith_Diploma.pdf).
Step 4. Pass the Interview with the Programme’s Curator or/and Academic Supervisors
After You Have Been Recommended for Enrollment
Step 5. Bring or Send via Post Your Diploma and Passport Scan to the HSE Admission Office
Step 6. Sign the Tuition Contract and Make the Payment
Step 7. For International Applicants Only - Apply for Visa
Step 8. Come to Shukhov Lab for the Welcome Ceremony
The Welcome Ceremony usually takes place in Shukhov Lab several days before the start of the programme. At this event, every student will make a presentation about his/her background and receive a student ID card and a welcome pack. The date and time of the Welcome Ceremony isnotified by the programme manager in advance.
