HSE Student Awarded at Biodesign Challenge Summit 2019
Anna Budnikova, alumni of the international Master’s programme ‘Prototyping future cities’ received the Outstanding Science Award at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) for her research ‘Mycokarst: New Generation of Self-healing Urban Materials Based on Fungal Spores’ conducted under Elena Mitrofanova leadership.
On June 20 Anna Budnikova, fellow of the grant of the president of the Republic of Tatarstan and graduate of the GSU Master's programme 'Prototyping future cities’, presented her research ‘Mycokarst’ at the Parsons School of Design within the Biodesign Challenge Summit 2019. Anna was selected from over 500 students from 34 Universities of the world. The Awarding Ceremony was held at the MoMA The Museum of Modern Art in New York on June 21.
Anna has done her research within the Master's programme under Elena Mitrofanova, Shukhov Lab leading expert, supervision.
Biodesign Challenge Summit 2019
The Biodesign Challenge, a programme of Genspace NYC, is an international university competition that offers art and design students to envision future applications of biotechnology. The BDC's goals are to prepare young artists and designers to engage the public with visions for the future applications of biotechnology.
