‘Advanced Urban Housing Prototype’ will be presented at the Museum of Moscow during the largest conference on architectural education and career
Perhaps, in the not-so-distant future, people will be living in skyscrapers made of wood and concrete with a farm on the first floor and solar panels on the roof. Such a model of a future residential block was presented by the students of the master's programme ‘Prototyping Future Cities’. To create the model, they studied houses in Moscow that have been built over the past hundred years and analyzed international experience. Their model was presented at the Moscow Urban Forum in July and, on September 13 (HSE Day), it will be possible to see it again at Gorky Park.
The Moscow Urban Forum will take place from July 17 to 22 at Zaryadye Park. This year’s topic is ‘Megacity of the Future: New Space for Living’. HSE representatives will participate in the forum’s expert discussions.
Today flying cars are not just a part of a sci-fi world. In the nearest future we are likely to start using them on a wide scale. In order to do that, the infrastructure of the cities will have to be changed, charges added, landing pads and other relevant services provided. The authorities will need to establish new traffic laws and come up with alternative restrictions and rules. Nikolay Bezhko, lead community manager at McFly.aero is sharing his company’s experience on the above topics.
The first joint project of the art-gallery ‘Peresvetov Pereulok’ and Shukhov Lab is underway
The ‘Green Spark’ installation by Elena Mitrofanova and Ivan Mitrofanov, project coordinators of the Shukhov Lab, and Paolo Bombelli from Cambridge University, has been selected from 68 projects to be exhibited as part of the Polytech Festival of Science, Art and Technology in May 2018.
