Correct Formatting of Signs and Announcements: What it Means in Reality

The University has adopted new regulations on the formats used in signs, pointers and announcements regarding events held within University grounds. They will now need to follow one template and must display the names and contact details of those responsible for the event.  Will these regulations be used for student events, and does this mean there is one template for all announcements? We look into it.

‘This relates to signs and announcements located by entrances to lecture halls, inside buildings, and those that help participants find their way,’ HSE Vice Rector Ivan Prostakov said. ‘The goal is to identify the organizers and deliver visual unity in supporting materials for events that take place here. If students want to hold events involving hiring out a lecture room, then they will have to provide appropriate signage. Currently, navigational aids are issued by the Event Organization Office only following a request from the event’s organizers, and once the information to be displayed has been checked. But this will not impact the content of any displays on stands (posters, announcements, communications), where the form and content will continue to be governed by good sense, good taste, and will be in keeping with the law.’
