Tele2 Opens Workshop at HSE Business Incubator

Tele2, a mobile network operator, and HSE Business Incubator are set to begin cooperating in youth entrepreneurship and start-up projects.

Tele2 has agreed to launch an educational programme with HSE Business Incubator. Residents at the incubator and HSE students will be able to study at the Tele2 Workshop. The project aims to help them improve their knowledge of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, HR management, sales, and PR.

Senior executives from the Tele2 office in Moscow will conduct the workshops. Igor Zhizhikin, Tele2 CEO for Moscow; Anton Kondratov, Marketing Director; Yulia Ivanova, CFO; Zoya Izotova, HR Director; and other executives will lead workshops for Business Incubator residents and HSE students. Speakers at workshops will also become mentors for residents and will supervise the most promising start-ups.

As part of the collaboration, project teams will be formed comprising Tele2 experts and Business Incubator residents. Together, they will solve the operator’s practical challenges and work on new services, products and technologies for Tele2 in the Moscow Region.

Winners of Startup of the Year Competition Selected

On February 19, the award ceremony for the 2015 Startup of the Year competition was held at Moscow’s Digital October Centre. Nearly 300 applications were submitted for the competition from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. Twelve of the best projects made it to the finals in four main categories, as well as in a special category called ‘People’s Love.’ The winning teams included students and alumni of the Higher School of Economics.
