Lecture on ‘ Revolutionary Culture Today ’ by Susan Buck-Morss

On October 23 a lecture on ‘Revolutionary Culture Today’ by Susan Buck-Morss will be held at HSE in the framework of the ‘Critical theory, Culture and Communication Lectures’.

Critical theory, Culture and Communication lectures is an initiative of HSE School of Media. It will consist of a series of invited talks from internationally distinguished speakers aiming to promote critical thinking and interdisciplinary research in the areas of media, culture and communication. The series opens with lectures from Susan Buck-Morss and Jodi Dean.

Susan Buck-Morss is Distinguished Professor of Political Theory at the City University of New York Graduate Center, and Professor Emeritus of Government at Cornell University. Her books include Hegel, Haiti, and Universal History (2009); Thinking Past Terror (2003); Dreamworld and Catastrophe (2000); The Dialectics of Seeing (1989); and The Origin of Negative Dialectics (1977, republished 2002).
