Lecture on ' The Importance of Institutions and Organizations for Agriculture ' by Ulrich Koester
On January 23 the lecture on 'The Importance of Institutions and Organizations for Agriculture' by a world-known agricultural economist Ulrich Koester will be held at HSE. The event is organised by the Institute for Agricultural Research.
Prof. Ulrich Koester, born 1938 is a Professor of the University of Kiel (Germany). He used to be an adviser to the Minister of Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany. He was graduated in several German universities, has got his Doctoral degree in 1968 at the University of Gottingen. He has extensive experience in the agricultural economics: he is professor at three dozen world universities, including that in the USA (University of Berkeley), Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, Finland, Mongolia, Kenya, etc. He used to be a researcher at the World Bank, IFPRI, IAMO, FAO, member of the scientific council of the German MoA, a member of editorial committees of several leading world agricultural journals.
