HSE University now ranks 16th and places among the top 5% of universities in emerging Europe and Central Asia in the QS EECA University Rankings released by the British ranking agency QS.

HSE University has significantly improved its performance in reputation indicators, which account for half of the ranking criteria. The University improved its performance in the categories of ‘academic reputation’ and ‘employer reputation’ by 5% compared to last year. In compiling the ranking, the rating agency surveyed 102,500 representatives of the academic community and 52,000 representatives of employers.

Every year, more and more Russian universities are represented in the regional QS EECA ranking: this year the ranking includes 121 Russian universities, which account for almost a third of the list’s top-ranked universities—a 16% increase from last year. For the past three years, all universities participating in Russia’s Academic Excellence Project 5-100, have been represented in the ranking.
