Call for papers for Annual ICSID Conference for Young Scholars “Contemporary Trends and Prospects in the Political Economy of Development”,18–19 September 2025

We invite students, PhD students, post‑doctoral fellows and early‑career researchers to present their work at the intersection of economics, political science and sociology of development. The conference will be held in a hybrid format; working languages are English and Russian. Applications and papers could be submitted in both languages, the final presentation and speech at the conference - in English only.

Submissions

• Abstracts (≥ 500 words, EN) including title, authors, affiliation, methodology, expected findings and up to five keywords should be sent to icsid@hse.ru by 23 June 2025(E-mail title “ICSID conference”).
• Notification of acceptance will be issued by 25 July 2025.
• Full papers (≈ 4 000–7 000 words) are due by 1 September 2025 for circulation to discussants.

Presentation format

Each session features 3–5 papers; presenters have 10 minutes followed by Q&A. A slide deck with visual results is required.

Fees & Funding

No registration fee. Travel and accommodation are self‑funded. On‑site international presenters must confirm attendance by 15 August; otherwise, only remote participation will be available.
