The Third Joint Online Seminar of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, and the Federal University of Minas Gerais
The Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at HSE University continues its series of online seminars in collaboration with experts from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil).
The project aims to explore key challenges in the global economy and international relations, both in the global and regional context. The main organiser of the seminar is the Bachelor’s programme International Relations and Global Studies.
The third seminar, titled “Brazil’s Foreign Policy in a Multipolar World,” will take place on 21 October at 17:00 (Moscow time) on the Zoom platform.
The keynote presentation will be delivered by Ana Lívia Araújo Esteves, PhD in Political Science and Lecturer at the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. In her talk, Ana Lívia will focus on the dynamics of relations between Russia and Brazil over the past decade.
The discussant will be Márcio Luís de Oliveira, Professor at the Faculty of Law, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). Professor Oliveira holds Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Law from UFMG. He specialises in international and constitutional law, teaches at UFMG, and supervises student research projects.
The seminar will be moderated by Oleg Korneev, PhD in History, Associate Professor at the School of International Relations, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, and Academic Supervisor of the International Relations and Global Studies programme.
