28th annual conference “History and Culture of Japan”
Dear colleagues,
We are happy to announce that the 28th annual conference “History and Culture of Japan”, organized by the Institute for Oriental and Classical Studies of the National Research University 'Higher School of Economics', will be held on March 16-18th, 2026.
We are now accepting proposals for presentations. If you plan to participate, please, complete the registration form:
The conference will be held off-line. In some cases, on-line presentations are possible but we strongly encourage personal presence. Registration is open until December 25th (23:59 MSK). Reports will be selected as a result of a blind peer review of abstracts. We can host 50 reports this year. The list of participants and the program of the conference will be announced by January 20th, 2024.
We accept only one report from each participant.
The report must not have been presented at other conferences.
The abstracts should be from 1500 to 3000 characters, we cannot accept any proposals without an abstract attached.
The time limit for each presentation is 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.
The languages of the conference are Russian, English, and Japanese.
