Discussion: Macroeconomic regulation and Budgetary policy of the Republic of Türkiye

At the regular April scientific research seminar "Modernisation of Public Finance" of the Department of Policy and Governence of the Faculty of Social Sicences, a presentation of research reports and messages, as well as a general discussion on the topic will take place: "The Public budget of the Republic of Türkiye and the problems of macroeconomic regulation".

Prof., Dr. Mstislav Afanasiev (HSE, INP, NIFI) will deliver the main report on Budgetary Policy and the Public budget of the Republic of Türkiye for 2026 financial year.

Questions for discussion:

a) current and forecast macroeconomic situation in the Republic of Türkiye;

b) the main characteristics of the Turkish Public budget for 2026 financial year;

c) features of the modern budgetary process and macroeconomic regulation in Türkiye.

Presentations and scientific discussion will be held on April 9, 2026, beginning at 18:30 at the address: Moscow, Myasnitskaya st., 11, 5th floor, auditorium M11 - 508.

Key experts on the Turkish economy and economic policy, as well as the Turkish Public budget, will speak at the seminar. Turkish colleagues from the HSE University and RUDN University are expected to participate, as well as online participation from colleagues from Istanbul Galatasaray University.

Working languages of the seminar: Russian and English.
