ANR-Lab Seminar "Sociological Analysis of Professional Reputation Management Factors"

On April 20 at 3:00 PM, a seminar at the International Laboratory for Applied Network Research will be held. Marina Shutova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences and Engineering at St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University (ETU), will speak at the seminar.

The seminar will present the results of a sociological study of professional reputation as a social phenomenon, based on a synthesis of actor-network theory (J. Law) and pragmatic sociology—city theory (L. Boltanski, L. Thévenot). The empirical basis is a discourse analysis of open and closed digital communities of doctors and coaches (over 4,000 units of analysis), as well as a series of expert interviews with surgeons.

The seminar will be held in Russian.
