Apply for the online course of University of Illinois Chicago professor "Concepts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology" (Yuri Polikanov)

Dear friends!
We are pleased to inform you that starting from September 27, 2021, the HSE Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology will host a series of classes "Concepts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology", dedicated to the basic basics of biochemistry and molecular biology. The classes will be conducted by Yuri Polikanov, Professor of the Department of Biological Sciences (Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences) of the University of Illinois Chicago.

This course includes the basics of biochemistry and molecular biology which are necessary for training in biological specialties. The aim of the course is to introduce students to concepts and experimental approaches in a wide range of research in the field of molecular biology. Students should complete the course with a comprehensive understanding of many topics in biochemistry and molecular biology and be able to creatively and realistically apply this knowledge in practice to solve current topical problems in the field of molecular biology.

This course will be conducted as an optional course by using video conferencing format (ZOOM or another platform), approximately once a week). The course content and its schedule will be sent by request.

Participation in these classes for Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of the Higher School of Economics students is free of charge.
