On the globalization problem in combinatorial mirror symmetry

Abstract: The purpose of the talk is to introduce listeners to the  combinatorial approach to mirror symmetry and to the results of  attempts to globally connect two different combinatorial constructions  used to obtain mirror pairs of Calabi-Yau manifolds in arbitrary  dimension.
