Researchers from the HSE International Laboratory of Quantum Optoelectronics in St Petersburg have explored the impact of resonator size on the operating temperature of a microdisk laser with quantum dots in a two-level generation mode. Their findings reveal that microlasers can produce radiation across multiple frequencies, even under elevated temperatures. In the future, this breakthrough will enable the integration of microlasers into photonic circuits, potentially doubling information transmission capabilities. The study findings have been published in Nanomaterials.
Photography Week took place on November 20–25 at the HSE Art and Design School. As part of the festival, the HSE ART GALLERY presented works by students of the Photography track from recent years, while CREATIVE HUB hosted a conference titled ‘Photography: More than Art.’
Based on the assessment results, the programme's strengths were identified as its broad coverage of educational disciplines, in-depth exploration of theoretical aspects in machine learning, the quality of staff, and the involvement of potential employers. This is the fifth educational programme at the HSE Faculty of Computer Science to receive this prestigious professional and public accreditation.
