For the first time ever, the leaders of education studies centres from some of the world’s leading research universities met at the HSE Academic Centre in Pushkin, Russia. At the meeting, the researchers, along with a representative from OECD, discussed how education studies departments should change to meet the global challenges that face the sphere of education.
Higher Schools’ Research Puts Russia on the World Map
‘University Traditions: a Resource or a Burden?’ the 4th International Conference of the Russian Association of Higher Education Researchers organized by the HSE Institute of Education, the HSE Institute for Theoretical and Historical Studies in the Humanities, and the New Economic School, is taking place in Moscow from September 26 – 28, 2013. Isak Froumin, Academic Supervisor of the HSE Institute of Education, talked to us about the conference and the problems of higher education in Russia.
HSE Lyceum Opened in Moscow
On the first day of the new school year, the first HSE Lyceum students spoke with representatives of the University’s administration and learned that that the Lyceum will prepare them for actual study at the University, not just to be admitted. For their part, the students are expected to be honest and bring fresh ideas.
Heads of the World’s Leading Young Universities will Come Together at the HSE
From October 18th – 20th the annual Russian Association of Higher Education Researchers conference on ‘ The Birth and Rebirth of Universities’ will take place at the HSE. A seminar for heads of young international universities will take place as part of the conference.
