gold medals were won by the HSE Dance Club at a tap dance championship held in Moscow. 

Representatives of the HSE team were recognized as the best in the ‘Juniors - Small Group’, ‘Juniors – Duet’, ‘Juniors – Trio’, ‘Children – Solo’, ‘Adults – Solo’, and ‘Adults - Small Group’ categories. In addition, members of the team were officially placed on the Russian tap dance team and got a pass for the biggest international competitions – the World and European championships.

The HSE Dance Club was established in 2007. Team members work in the genre of modern dance under the direction of experimental choreographer Sona Hovsepyan. As the winner of the national championship in tap dance, she was delegated to represent Russia at the World Championship in the Tap Dance.

Two Teams from the Faculty of Computer Science Passed to ACM ICPC Semifinal

On October 26th, 2014, a quarterfinal of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) 2014-2015 took place at the Moscow State University and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Two teams from the HSE Faculty of Computer Science took 7 th  and 11 th  places and passed through to the contest’s semifinal.

HSE Student Wins IT-Planet competition

Eldar Beibutov, a master’s student in the Information Security Department of HSE’s Faculty of Business Informatics, received first place at the 7th international IT-Planet 2013/2014 student competition.

The International Laboratory for Educational Policy Research has been working at the HSE for more than a year. Its academic supervisor, Stanford University professor Martin Carnoy told us about the results of this year’s research, their forthcoming plans and the future of the laboratory.
