BRICS Universities League at HSE St. Petersburg

On December 3, 2014, a delegation consisting of some of the largest Chinese universities from the BRICS Universities League visited HSE St. Petersburg. The group included the Vice President of Zhejiang Normal University, the Deputy Dean of Tsinghua University's Institute of International Relations, and leadership from Fudan University's Centre for BRICS Studies.

The visit included a meeting with the Director of HSE St. Petersburg, Sergey Kadochnikov, and with department heads and leading researchers. Issues were discussed relating to cooperation in teacher and student exchanges, the possibility of opening joint international training programmes, and the development of dual-degree programmes for master's students.

The participants of the meeting decided to sign agreements in the future on cooperation, student exchanges, and joint academic projects.

Our Chinese colleagues expressed great interest in the projects of HSE St. Petersburg’s research centres in the field of researching BRICS-related issues.
