On December 20, 2016, the ZIL Cultural Centre hosted this year’s Golden HSE awards ceremony. This year saw several significant changes to the award rules: new nominations have appeared, many of them were divided into categories for different groups of employees — all to help ensure HSE was able to express its gratitude to a larger number of worthy candidates.

Where Mathematicians Are Made
This summer, the HSE Faculty of Mathematics moved into a new building on Usacheva Street. HSE to Build Sport Complex in Moscow
HSE will build a three-story fitness complex near the Kaluzhskaya metro stop in Moscow, adding to the university’s sports and recreation infrastructure. The complex will include a swimming pool along with a number of fitness rooms and sports halls. The Moscow Committee for Architecture and Urban Development has already given the project the green light. Two HSE Projects, One Lecturer Win Eventiada Awards-2016
Rimma Pogodina, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design, became the best Teacher of the Year, and the ‘Communications School for Young People’ and ‘TeleHSE’ projects won prizes in the Best PR Project and Best Social Media Project categories at the 5th International Eventiada Awards.
