HSE Winter Schools Started

From January 27 – February 5, 2014, the HSE Winter Schools for prospective master’s students are once again taking place in the Moscow region.

The first series of research and orientation winter schools was organized by the HSE in February 2009. Since then, during the winter holidays, future applicants to HSE master’s programmes have been able to spend several days with leading lecturers of the university, listen to renowned researchers and politicians and learn more about the master’s programmes offered by the HSE, as well as the career opportunities available and the entry requirements for future students.

Our winter school acts as a communication platform for young specialists who want to achieve new results, who are ready to experiment and come up with creative ideas. Classes take place all day, but participants also always manage to find time for more relaxed, informal communication.

Most of the HSE winter schools are in Russian and cover the areas of studies offered by the university, such as economics, sociology, mathematics etc. However, this year, for the first time,  there are also three schools offered in English: Asian Studies, International Relations, and Public Policy.
