On July 18, graduates of HSE’s International Preparatory Programmes had much to celebrate. For many, the day not only marked the last day of a rigorous programme, but the beginning of their next step in their education journey: enrolling in bachelor’s and master’s programmes at HSE University. Students and their instructors celebrated the occasion with a festive graduation party that included awards, poster presentations, cake for all, and even a Russian folk music performance.
On July 24-July 31, the second annual International Economics Olympiad (IEO) for high school students will be held in St. Petersburg. The IEO is organized and hosted by HSE University with the support of Sberbank.
This summer, university students from all over Russia took part in the Digital Transformation of the Charity Sector Summer School in Moscow. Students from HSE University and other universities presented digital solutions to make non-profit organizations more efficient and even save lives.

On Thursday, July 11, students and faculty of the International Russian-Chinese Summer School on International Affairs bid farewell with a festive awards ceremony and closing lecture by Professor Sergey Karaganov, Academic Supervisor and Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.
is HSE University’s ranking in terms of salaries of graduates employed in the field of economics and finance. The ranking was prepared by Superjob.ru research centre based on a study of the average income of young professionals who graduated from 2013–2018.
The ninth annual international conference The Future of Education, held in Florence, Italy, brought together over 200 education researchers and professionals from 48 countries. Undergraduate students from HSE University were the only undergraduate students at the conference to present a paper.
They represented various universities, such as École normale supérieure, University of Oxford, University of Padua, University of Toulouse, École Centrale de Marseille, INSA de Lyon, Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon.
After a fruitful week of presentations, feedback, and critical reevaluation, the 2019 session of the Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis (RSSIA) came to a close. Admission to this year's session was highly competitive: out of 100 applications, only 24 were accepted. Participants came from a wide range of countries, including China, Germany, India, Iran, and others, to take their research to the next level in an intimate setting.
One of the perks of studying at HSE University is its wide range of academic mobility programmes. Ksenia Semykina, a master’s student of Comparative Social Research, recently spent a semester at the Free University of Berlin with the support of an Erasmus+ scholarship. Andrea Marchesini, from Cortona, Italy, is currently pursuing a double degree programme in Economics and Finance offered by LUISS University in Rome and International College of Economics and Finance of HSE University.
