ICEF Graduates Get Diplomas

On September 25, 2013, the 13th HSE International College of Economics and Finance graduation ceremony took place at the residence of Timothy Barrow, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Russian Federation.

On September 25, 2013, the 13th HSE International College of Economics and Finance graduation ceremony took place at the residence of Timothy Barrow, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Russian Federation.

Since 1997, when the International College of Economics and Finance, a joint project between the Higher School of Economics and the London School of Economics, was founded, more than 900 students (over 800 bachelors and 100 masters) have graduated from the ICEF. In 2013,16 masters and more than 100 bachelors graduated from the college. Many of the graduates will go on to continue their education at other leading universities, including the University of London, stated Sergey Yakovlev, ICEF Director. 

Graduation ceremonies at the British Embassy or in the Ambassador’s residence have become a well-established ICEF tradition, along with the presence of college ‘godfathers’ Alexander Shokhin, HSE President, Sergey Dubunin, Head of the ICEF Board of Trustees, and Richard Jackman, Professor, Project Supervisor.

Adrian Smith, Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, noted that there are 55,000 students in the world studying programmes approved by the university. This education meets the standards of the University of London. Vadim Radaev, HSE First Vice-Rector, mentioned that the quality of the ICEF educational programmes sets a standard for all HSE faculties.
