HSE Students among Winners of HackUPC

Two HSE student teams were selected as winners in four categories of the hackathon HackUPC, which was held at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona.

Separate Plastic Collection for Recycling Available at HSE

The environmental student organization Green HSE has launched a service for the separate collection of plastic waste. Special yellow containers can be found across HSE buildings. For now only plastic bottles can be collected for recycling.

HSE Design Students Shortlisted for Rijksmuseum Award

Students of the HSE School of Design have been shortlisted for the 2017 Rijkstudio Award, which is organised by Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum. Works by third-year students Victoria Kasatova and Ekaterina Drugachenok were among the 75 works hand-selected by an expert jury out of 2,600 participants from around the world. According to the contest’s rules, anyone can submit an entry by downloading an art piece of their choosing from the museum’s website and creating their own work of art based on this image.

Students on the HSE’s Legal Informatics MA Programme Gain Double Degree Option

The Higher School of Economics has signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Nottingham (Great Britain). Now students on the HSE MA Programme in Legal Informatics will be able to receive an LLM (Master of Laws) degree as part of this double-degree programme.

Experts of the HSE Institute of Education examined access to higher education in Russia and found that it varies across regions. Besides, the possibility of getting a degree can be quite low in some parts of the country.
