HSE MBA Graduate Appointed Acting Governor of Lipetsk Region
Igor Artamonov, a graduate of the MBA Finance programme, which was developed by HSE for Sberbank, has been appointed Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region.
In the mid-2000s, the HSE's Graduate School of Management created a special MBA Finance programme for employees of Sberbank, which at that time did not have its own corporate university. One of its first participants was Igor Artamonov, who then worked on the board of a regional bank.
After graduating from the programme in 2007, he headed the West-Siberian Bank of Sberbank of Russia, and later became Deputy Chairman and Vice-president of Sberbank. He was responsible for the bank’s regional development.
The order on the appointment of Igor Artamonov as the Acting Governor of the Lipetsk Region was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 2.
