The 7th International ‘Changing Europe’ Summer School took place at the start of August in Moscow. The event was organized by the Higher School of Economics and the University of Bremen Research Centre for East European Studies.
The 6th Russian Summer School on Institutional Analysis (RSSIA 2012) took place in Moscow region from July 5th – 11th 2012. Here, some of the participants share their impressions of the event.
In April a new all-university elective course on Science, Technology and Innovation: Analysis, Strategies and Policy will be launched at the HSE. It will be delivered in English by leading HSE international professors as well as some visiting experts. Dirk Meissner, Deputy Head of the HSE Research Laboratory for Science and Technology Studies, and one of the authors of the course, told us more about the course, its structure and specifics.
The Higher School of Economics and the University of Texas (USA) have recently been working on an agreement on cooperation in public administration. All last week Christian Julliard, a Lecturer in the Department of Finance at the London School of Economics (LSE) and the coordinator of the International Laboratory of financial economics at ICEF/HSE, was working in Moscow. This time the goals of his visit were to take part in seminars with ICEF research colleagues and being an external examiner for the MSc program in Financial Economics, as well as advice his colleagues on their research trajectories. Our reporter had a chance to meet with the scholar and talk about his background, interests and Russian impressions.
