The new HSE Master’s programme  ‘Law of International Trade, Finance and Economic Integration’ invites applications for the coming 2019-2020 academic year. Qualified students who wish to specialize in international economic law and work in international environments, such as international organizations, international law firms, and international business corporations, are encouraged to apply.

LG Electronics and the Higher School of Economics have announced the launch of a special collaborative educational project. A new computer classroom will provide students of engineering, industrial design, and computer programming the opportunity to study the most modern tools and methods of design using equipment designed for rapidly developing disciplines and the higher technological demands of their results. With a 21:9 aspect ratio, these monitors are currently the most conducive to solving such complex tasks at work and in school.

Starting February 14, HSE will offer a unique interdisciplinary online project ‘Megacities of the Future’ on Webinar.ru platform. The webinars will run over the course of 13 weeks with one lecture a week. One of the lecturers, Benito Juarez, the founder of the first Fab Lab in South America and the Latin America Fab Lab Network, has told us about the project and has also talked about contemporary trends in architecture, urbanism, and sociology.

The Institute for Agrarian Studies was founded in October 2018 as a research department at HSE. It carries out research and expert analysis, as well as provides consulting services, in regards to agrarian economics and policy, and the development of agricultural markets and rural areas. It also aims to train highly qualified agriculture analysts. Evgenia Serova, HSE’s Director for Agricultural Policy and the head of the Institute describes below its research scope and development strategy.

Askold Ivanchik, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), spoke to the HSE News Service about the features of the new master's programme in Classical and Oriental Archaeology. The first intake will be held in 2019.

The Centre will develop, research and promote themes related to media and information literacy and will become an online platform for discussing new transmedia and immersive practices in the digital environment. It will also continue work on creating various cultural and educational projects that has already been started by the HSE Faculty of Communications, Media, and Design.

In 2019, HSE is launching a new master's programme in Russian Studies that will be taught in English. Admissions for international students have already started. Boris Makarenko, the programme’s Academic Supervisor, spoke with the HSE News Service about the features of the new programme.

Beginning September 2019, the Faculty of Economic Sciences plans to open an English taught track for the Master’s programme in Applied Economics. The programme will offer enough English-language courses so that a non-Russian speaking student could meet all of the requirements for graduation. Also, for such students, the programme will offer a special research seminar dedicated to the Russian economy and Economics of Development.
