Students of the educational programme in Economics at HSE Perm took the first place in the finals of the 4th international competition in solving business cases Unilever Future Leaders’ League.
Third year software engineering student Vadim Drobinin took part in the Hacktrain hackathon last weekend in Britain (November 21-22). The project, developed by the international team Vadim is part of, will be presented to the British Minister of Transport and compete for 25,000 pounds worth of investment.
Two HSE student projects have taken prizes at the All-Russian competition for communications projects Eventиада Awards 2015. The reality TV show Battle of the Businesses took first place for Best Student Project while the online magazine The Вышка (The Vyshka) won third prize for Best Creative Project of the Year. Both projects were supported by the HSE Student Initiative Fund.

MIEM Students Demonstrate Google Glass Analogue and Portable Cardiograph at All-Russia Science Festival
Undergraduate and postgraduate students at the HSE Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM) recently presented their innovations at the All-Russia Science Festival (NAUKA+). Among them were ‘intelligent electric outlets’, which eliminate worries about irons being left plugged in, and a device for measuring eye fatigue.

While studying for an MA in the Governance of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge, students can put themselves forward for internships in leading innovative companies, state agencies, or international organizations. This year, five candidates were shortlisted in preliminary selection rounds and Anastasia Trunina was the one chosen to do an internship at OECD.
