Russian in Business and Mass Media (Advanced)
This course is designed for upper-intermediate / advanced students studying the Russian language with focus on media and business. At the start of the course student`s level of proficiency in Russian should at least be of B1 level (according to the "Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Learning", adopted by the Council of Europe)
At the beginning an overview is given over modern Russian mass media (in particular business media), including the structure of newspaper publication, genres and styles of the media, the most popular press, TV and radio channels. Then mass media material is studied by topics.
Particular attention is paid to discussions, paired and group work of students in the classroom. Students are also expected to work independently at home as a homework (news reports, research, etc).

Syllabus Intermadiate Low (Level 4)
A goal of the course is to improve the students` knowledge of the Russian language while reading texts, doing grammar and lexical exercises, pair and group in-class speaking practice, basing on their knowledge that, at the start of the course, should not be less than of A2 level. The course material is organized by topics of every-day life however learnt with more vocabulary and grammar peculiarities.
