Production of the Future: AI Research Centre Presents Its Developments in Manual Operations Control Systems

Researchers from the HSE AI Research Centre have built a system for the automated control of manual operations, which finds application in industrial production. The system facilitates the process of monitoring objects and actions, as well as controlling the quality of their execution.

HSE Students Become Winners and Finalists of CTF Cup of Russia

Two teams including students from the HSE Faculty of Computer Science and the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, are the best in Russia in practical cybersecurity in the framework of the Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions. The main purpose of this type of competition is the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of information security, professional growth and the development of programming and system design culture among students and young scientists involved in cybersecurity.

MIEM Student Wins Gold in DigitalSkills 2021

DigitalSkills 2021, the 3rd WorldSkills Industry Championship in the field of information technologies, took place in the Republic of Tatarstan at the end of September. Alexey Shadrunov, a student of HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM), won a gold medal in ‘Corporate Protection Against Internal Threats to Information Security’.

MIEM, WorldSkills Russia, and Industrial Partners Hold International Corporate Security Training Modules and Competition

From June 22 to July 9, 2020, the 2020 International BRICS Future Skills Camp Championship, which allows students to both expand and test their skills in enterprise information systems security, took place. The event was jointly organized by WorldSkills Russia (WSR), the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM HSE), and Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). Students from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and the Republic of South Africa participated in the competition.

MIEM HSE’s Annual Technoshow Will Be Held Online

On May 31, MIEM students will present their projects at the Institute’s annual exhibition, which this year will be held online. Of 200 team projects created at the Institute this past academic year, the expo will feature the 25 most brilliant and successful, both in terms of innovation and practicality.
