Subject of lecturing in 2014/15 academic year:

  • Basic Arabic: stage I (Bachelor/Undergraduate; place of lecturing: Department of Oriental Philology; for 1st year students; 1-4 modules).
  • Syllabus of the Course «Basic Arabic: Stage 1 (First Academic Year)» aims at teaching Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) to the non-speaking students starting from zero-Level. MSA linguistic system is being concurrently taught on the basis of Arabic and Russian Grammar traditional schools tooled with both linguistics terminology. As a result of this method systemic perception of lingual units and functional ties in MSA is reached through understanding of the language's inner charachter. During the curriculum learning students gain comprehensive competence at writing, reading, articulating and speaking at the level outlined in the Course Programme the basic skills and primary goal of which consist in translation/communication in Arabic.
