Key qualifications:

General Statistical activity – 7 years of practical experience as an expert and official at the key position in Russian Statistical Committee, and more than 15 years of participations in different statistical projects, including the participation in planning of improving of government statistics in other countries of the region, mostly at the macro-level;
Macro-economic statistics, System of National Accounts – theoretical and practical aspects (methodology preparation and implementation, estimates, analysis), annual and quarterly GDP estimates, indexes;
Non-observed economy, economies in transition – practical researches in Russia and other countries of the region, organisation of ad-hoc surveys, methodology preparation;
Teaching in statistics, macro-economics, including on-the-job training;
Scientific activity on macro-economics in Russia and Japan;
In-depth knowledge of the European Statistical System, profound knowledge of ESA 95

BRICS Representatives Discuss the Development of Statistics in Member Countries

The significance of statistics in today’s digital age has reached a new level. Many decisions at government and business levels are based on data analysis. However, there is a mixed perception of official statistics, which negatively affects trust in public policies. The heads of BRICS statistical agencies discussed this issue and ways to address it at a forum in Kazan, where a representative from HSE University also participated in the event.
