Responsibilities
The Associate Professor carries out educational, teaching-methodological, research, and organizational work: delivers all types of academic classes, develops course syllabi and instructional materials, monitors the quality of teaching, supervises students' research activities (including term papers and graduation theses), participates in the preparation of textbooks and academic publications (including in top-tier journals). The Associate Professor also has the right to independently determine the content and teaching methods within the approved programs, choose research directions (in coordination with the supervisor), use the university’s information, laboratory, and administrative resources, participate in expert activities, and submit proposals for improving the operations of the department.

Youth in the Age of Global Challenges: How International Conference in Honour of the Fifteenth Anniversary of the Centre for Youth Studies Went
The Centre for Youth Studies at HSE University-St Petersburg has held the International Research Conference 'Agency and Sustainability of Youth in the Age of Global Challenges'. More than 100 researchers from Russia, India, Argentina, and Brazil discussed the adaptation of young employees in the labour market, the influence of digitalisation on the youth's lives, the role of youth culture in the city, and other issues. HSE SPB Day 2022: How It Went
This year, HSE University-St Petersburg's traditional HSE SPB Day event returned in an offline format. It was held on September 11 in the Sevkabel Port creative space. Students, lecturers, the administration and partners of the campus met by the Gulf of Finland to celebrate the brightest holiday of the autumn, which symbolised the beginning of the academic year and an initiation ceremony for first-year students.
First Steps Toward a Lasting Partnership
Specialists of the HSE Centre for Youth Studies met with colleagues from the University of Georgia to discuss prospects for collaboration. They discussed the possibilities for development of academic exchange, summer schools, internships and a ‘Social Analysis of Youth’ track in the Master’s programme ‘Modern Social Analysis’.
