During his visit to Moscow in May 2025, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh presented the state award to the academic supervisor of the Bachelor’s programme ‘Mongolia and Tibet’ and met with students of the programme.
Anna Tsendina, professor and academic supervisor of the ‘Mongolia and Tibet’ programme, was awarded the title of ‘Honoured Scientist of Mongolia’ for her significant contribution to the strengthening and development of bilateral cooperation between Russia and Mongolia in the cultural, humanities, and educational fields. The award was presented personally by President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, who visited Moscow to attend events marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.
The award ceremony was held on May 8, 2025, in the historic Bryusov Hall of the Metropol Hotel—the place where diplomatic relations between the USSR and the Mongolian People’s Republic were first established. The title of ‘Honoured Scientist of Mongolia’ is awarded to foreigners extremely rarely.
During his visit, President Khürelsükh held a meeting with Mongolian students studying in Moscow and students specialising in Mongolian studies. Anna Klementyeva and Ulyana Makhno represented the Institute for Oriental and Classical Studies and had the honour of personally meeting the president.
Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh wished the students success in their studies, scientific endeavours, and creative activities. The meeting took place on May 10 at the Embassy of Mongolia in Moscow.
