Director of the HSE Corporate Academy
— We are delighted to invite you to join us at this exciting sporting event organised by HSE University this September. It will be a wonderful opportunity not only to get active, but also to strengthen our university spirit, spend time in a healthy way, and make new acquaintances.
The programme is packed with activities: a 2.5 or 5 km run, football, basketball and volleyball courts, a yoga master class, as well as tables for table tennis and chess. Alongside the traditional sports, participants can try their hand at indoor rowing and take part in an anti-stress dance and movement practice. Special play areas and workshops will be organised for children.
In addition to sporting activities, a summer lecture series will also be held. Sergey Fedorovtsev, Director of the Centre for Sports Communities at the HSE Corporate Academy and Olympic champion in rowing, will give a lecture entitled ‘The Road to the Olympics,’ in which he will speak about achievement and motivation. ‘Networking on the Run: How Horizontal Connections Are Formed in Motion’ is the theme of a lecture by Anna Kozyreva, leader of the HSE Running Club. HSE students will share how the running community helps them adapt to a new environment. Daria Melenchuk, Director of the HSE Corporate Academy, will speak about new opportunities for staff development at the university.
The festival’s programme is designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Adults will be able to choose from a range of sports activities while spending time with colleagues in a relaxed setting.
The festival is organised by the Student Initiative Support Centre, the HSE Corporate Academy, the HSE Tikhonov Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (MIEM), the HSE Running Club and Student Running Club, and the HSE Department of Physical Training. The event is supported by VTB Bank (PJSC).
‘The festival is a unique opportunity to spend a weekend in an active and rewarding way, combining sport, family leisure, and interaction with colleagues,’ emphasised Daria Melenchuk.
Participant registration and meetup: from 9 am to 9:30 am at HSE MIEM, 34 Tallinskaya Ulitsa. Registration is required to take part in the festival.
As part of the festival programme, the nationwide campaign STUDzaBEG will take place (a group run of 2.5 km or 5 km). Separate registration is required to participate.
