Sporty Summer at the HSE

The HSE student club for extreme sports ‘X-Sport Club’ has been organizing joint trips for HSE students and staff members, as well as contests in winter and summer sports for 15 years now. Carrying on the tradition, the club is planning several trips for HSE students, lecturers and staff members this year. The programme includes surfing, kiting, wakeboarding, other sports, and popular out-door tourist activities.

Eysk

Those who like windsurfing, kiting and wakeboarding will enjoy the club’s sea project in Eysk, a resort town on the Russian coast of the Azov Sea, not far from Adler.  Accommodation is in comfortable hotel rooms (single or double) with wi-fi, and a swimming pool on thepremises. Breakfast and supper are included.

The following sports facilities and activities are available: indoor rock climbing, trampolining, yoga, table tennis, volleyball, street-ball, and indo boarding.

Morocco

Another seaside project is a surfing camp in Morocco, not far from Agadir. Use of sports equipment is free of charge for the duration of your stay,  the cost covers three meals a day and there are parties every night and sightseeing trips.

Hiking

Horse lovers  are welcome to join our riding trek  in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

We are organising another hiking trip in the Urals along the shores of the Tikhaya River with its beautiful views. The trip is perfect for those who love beach leisure and relaxing holidays.

A third trip will take us near Lake Kuiva in the Murmansk region.  Kuiva is a mountain lake, where sites of ancient people have been found. The visitors can see and take photos of petroglyphs found in the area including the famous Mark of Prometheus which is listed by UNESCO World Heritage.

The club invites everyone to join us for a hike and ride horses along the Altai Mountains at the end of the summer.

New Academic Council to Be Formed at HSE University in March
On February 28, 2024, HSE University's Academic Council held the final meeting with its current members: their term of office is expiring. On March 19, HSE University will host a conference for its employees and students, at which elections will take place, and, by the end of the month, a new composition of the Academic Council will be formed for a five-year term.
