Bank Cards for State Scholarship Students

HSE has started distributing bank cards to its first-year students. If you are an international student on a Russian govenment scholarship (quota) you are eligible for such a card. On September 22, the first scholarships will be transferred via these cards. The schedule for the distribution of bank cards is presented below.

There was an initial plan to issue cards with an HSE-branded design, but due to technical issues, VTB 24 Bank failed to do this on time. Therefore, we had to choose between delivering the money on time and doing it in style, and went for the first option.

Nonetheless, first-year students will be able to get an HSE-branded card. The bank will reissue these cards for free, as soon as the technical issues are resolved. We’ll keep HSE students informed as to when and how this happens.

Students can pick up their VTB 24 cards according to the schedule below. To find out whether your card has been issued and when you can get it, please contact your programme manager. Please note that the schedule is based on the Russian transliteration of last names. You will need to refer to your student ID or translation of your passport to find out how your name is spelled in Russian.

• September 21, 2017 – students with last names starting with A and Б:
  Room 420, 20 Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, from 1 to 6pm;
• September 25, 2017 – students with last names starting with В and Г (+those with last names starting with A and Б who failed to pick up their cards on time):
  Room 513, 20 Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, from 11am to 4pm;
• September 26, 2017 – students with last names starting with Д – И (+those with last names starting with A – Г who failed to pick up their cards on time):
  Room 418, 20 Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, from 11am to 4pm;
• September 27, 2017 – students with last names starting with К (+those with last names starting with A – И who failed to pick up their cards on time):
  Room 418, 20 Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, from 11am to 4pm;
• September 28, 2017 – students with last names starting with Л and М (+those with last names starting with A – К who failed to pick up their cards on time):

• September 29, 2017 – students with last names starting with Н – П (+those with last names starting with A – М who failed to pick up their cards on time):

• October 2, 2017 – students with last names starting with Р – С (+those with last names starting with A – П who failed to pick up their cards on time):

• October 3, 2017 – students with last names starting with Т – Я (+those with last names starting with A – С who failed to pick up their cards on time):

• October 4, 2017 – ALL students who previously didn’t receive a card:

• October 5, 2017 – ALL students who previously didn’t received a card:

If you are an international student, please bring the following documents:

• Your passport (original!), migration card and registration card (if available);
• A copy (!) of a certified translation of your passport.
