Night at HSE

Every HSE student is familiar with sleepless nights before a deadline. But on December 14th we are holding an unusual event that nobody will want to sleep through – HSE on Pokrovka will host the annual ‘Night’ festival dedicated to modern entertainment.

HSE has prepared this birthday gift for students, teachers, staff, graduates and anyone interested in the culture and science of the 21st century.

Guests will gather to spend 12 hours together with their HSE family! The programme starts at 6: 00 pm and lasts until 6: 00 am.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves into the world of filmmaking and game design, make Christmas sketches with HSE artists, talk to Galina Yuzefovich about modern writing, learn sign language, play ‘Mafia’ and check academic Tinder – and these are only some of the surprises prepared by the organisers.

There are six interactive zones for participants:

• Movies and TV series
• Literature
• Media
• Games
• Science
• Performance art

The ‘Night’ festival will occupy five floors of the new building: the atrium, library, cultural centre, and classrooms – each zone will have its own entertainment and educational programme with games, workshops, lectures and debates.

This is the seventh ‘Night’, which has kept the whole HSE awake. Last year, the Art & Science festival was held at Artplay and brought together more than 1000 participants.
