The Joint Economic and Social Data Archive is accepting applications to organise access to databases essential for research and teaching in HSE departments in 2022. Applications will be accepted in all HSE disciplines (Sociology, Economics, Law, Politics, History, etc.)

We would like to remind you that subscriptions to databases are not renewed automatically. If you want to extend a subscription — please apply for an extension. Pay particular attention to the statistics on usage of a database. These will form the basis for a decision about whether or not to extend the subscription. You should be aware that the council for database purchasing is in full possession of the statistics.

Subscriptions to databases for 2022 will be financed only if they are definitely for use in one of the HSE projects included in this list, which fit one of the following criteria:

  • The project is directed by a leading foreign academic;
  • The project is conducted with up and coming research organisations, and includes the possibility of creating structured departments in HEIs;
  • The project is conducted with hi-tech organisations and includes the possibility of creating structured departments in HEIs;

For the full list of projects please see the webpage.

The Council for purchasing databases will decide which requests to respond to in May and June. To see the list of databases on subscription for 2021, go to the JESDA website

For any questions relating to the competition please write to jesda@hse.ru.
