The HSE IT Office has started transitioning to Yandex 360 services. First and foremost, this concerns university students, who are asked to transfer their data to the new platform before the end of the academic year. Data transfer for employees will start at a later date and will be announced in the corporate newsletter and on the university website.
Now, instead of Microsoft services (Outlook Teams, Office 365, OneDrive, etc), HSE University offers full access to Yandex 360 services for free. Yandex 360 is a suite of Russian digital services for working and studying, which includes corporate versions of Yandex.Mail, Yandex.Disk, Telemost, Notes and other applications necessary for studying.
This digital transfer does not apply to local Microsoft software previously installed on personal computers, nor to documents and data stored locally.
Students can transfer their data to the new platform until the end of the academic year on June 30. Afterwards, they can also get temporary access to the information remaining in Microsoft services, but only by submitting a request to HSE technical support.
