The HSE Volunteer Centre and the students of the ‘Media Communications’ programme are holding the ‘Warm Cup’ campaign to help all those who look after patients in palliative care.

A cup of tea can help those who are sitting sleeplessly at the bedside of a loved one who is ill, or a nurse working all day and night with only a couple of minutes for a cup of coffee. There are tea rooms in hospices where relatives, friends of patients and medical staff can take a break and enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee or tea.

The items will be collected at the HSE atrium on Pokrovsky Bulvar on September 16–30 from 10:00 to 18:00.

You can bring:

  • Various bagged teas
  • Instant and ground coffee
  • Sugar cubes
  • Sweets: marmalade, marshmallows, soft cookies
  • AA and AAA batteries

On September 19, 2022, HSE students and staff met with Elena Martianova, Director of the Vera Hospice Charity Fund, to discuss how they can realise their potential and their desire to be useful through various volunteer activities.
