The team of the ECO HSE project—with support from Green HSE, the Office of Staff and Student Benefits, and the operators of HSE University catering services—have launched a campaign aimed at reducing the use of disposable cups.
The initiative was immediately adopted by several of the university’s cafes and cafeterias. Visitors to participating venues can bring their own reusable drinks cups for their purchases, and several locations also offer a 5% discount on the cost of the drink. Information posters are displayed in the participating cafeterias. In addition, a number of HSE University cafes have switched to using napkins made from recycled paper.
